May 30th, 2013 - Tiffany Welch Takes Over Promotions at Boothill Speedway

Greenwood, Louisiana (May 30th, 2013) – Just a few days ago it appeared that Boothill Speedway racers and fans would once again have to see their home track fall into the realm of the defunct.  However, racer and promoter, Tiffany Welch, announced on Thursday that she would be operating the track for the balance of the 2013 campaign effective with the June 8th program.

“I approached Mrs. Paine (track owner) and expressed my interest in trying to keep our home track open,” notes Welch.  “I have been encouraged by many to pursue my dream of becoming the next promoter of Boothill Speedway.  After many discussions, and much prayer I was approached with the opportunity to make this dream a reality by Mr. and Mrs. Stuckey who also wanted to make sure that our home track stayed open and the drivers, fans, and families still had the opportunity to enjoy the racing action at Boothill Speedway.”

The facility will host a grand reopening on Saturday, June 8th with a program that will include Super Late Models, Open Wheel Modifieds, Limited Modifieds, Factory Stocks, and Beginners.  More dates are being added to the schedule daily and can be viewed at www.BoothillSpeedway.org .

Slabs which have been paid in full will be honored, and any driver registration, which has been paid in full, will be honored.  Any unregistered driver must pay a $25 registration fee to race next event.  In addition any sponsors that have paid for the season will be honored, and new sponsors are being accepted and welcomed.
Fan of the week, Mother’s Day passes, and tickets won from radio event will be honored on the June 8th program.  Tickets from Walnut Hill School will be honored on June 22nd only.

“I am honored to have the support of the Paine family as well as the Stuckey’s and many others who have assisted in pushing me to reach my goals.  The position of the track owners will remain the same as it has over the many years with them providing their guidance and blessing over the new promoter. The Stuckey’s have decided to keep their current position as patrons as well, and would like to not be involved with any decisions or day to day activities surrounding the track.  My position however has grown from office tasks and minor promoting to the business decisions will now be placed in my hands and the success of the track being my checkered flag. The green flag drops now!”
